Our Family Home For Your Perfect Vacation
Our parents bought this house in the 1960’s. Miss Caroline was our mother and she served many delectable seafood delights from the kitchen of their cottage. We had spent summers, from Memorial Day to Labor Day at Miss Caroline’s. Back then, the beach mostly went dark for the winter season.

Our father, a Citadel graduate ’42, remembers delivering blocks of ice to Miss Caroline’s during his summers at The Citadel. We are a Citadel family with three more graduates; ’71, ’80, ’96. We would love to share our house with you! We are local and are here to help in anyway we can. This house accommodates SIX people. We ask that you treat it as your own. It is very near and dear to us and we do not allow loud raucous house parties

Location, Location, Location.
Miss Caroline’s is located across the street from the Atlantic Ocean, with water views. The beach access point has handicapped access and a public restroom nearby. If bathroom facilities are needed during your beach visit, while catching waves and rays, there’s a bathroom ready for your use! The very popular surf school may be available during the summer season. The new Folly Beach Fishing Pier is a short walk by beach, or street. There is no fee to visit the pier but you’ll have to pay to fish. A restaurant and gift shop are at the pier. Center Street, the main hub, is where you will find great seafood restaurants.

Nearby Beach Activities

There’s something for everyone on Center Street and it is a mere 2 blocks from Miss Caroline’s. Kayak, paddle board, golf cart, bicycle, chairs and umbrellas are available to rent. Golf cart rentals are best to reserve weeks before your arrival, during the high season.

Happy visitors will also find ice cream yogurt, midweek farmer's markets, craft displays, and a varied array of shops and speakeasies for evening entertainment.
The East End Island
At the east end of Folly Beach, you can enjoy the harbor entrance to the City of Charleston and view the historic Morris Island Lighthouse. The beautiful natural seashore on the east and west ends of Folly Island are teaming with wildlife, shelling, and natural fauna and flora.

The West End Island
At the west end, enjoy a beautiful stroll to the island’s tip where you’ll see Kiawah Island ahead of you and round out to the backside of Folly Island and see the Folly River. Feeling lucky? You just might see some playful dolphins bobbing up and down! Please don’t swim or wade into the water at either end. There are swift currents and deep drop-offs.
